O Príncipe da Coragem: Wolbrezard

O que é a coragem? A coragem é a capacidade de enfrentar os medos, se vencer nossas fraquezas.
Buscando colocar um pouco da coragem no meu fan-card-game, eu estou apresentando o príncipe da coragem, Wolbrezard, e sua linha evolutiva.

Estes pokemons foram criados por Raiphen, e possuem um Design bem legal. Gelo que vai endurecendo e daí vira diamante.

Esses pokemons de gelo possuem a capacidade de enfrentar o tipo metal, a principal fraqueza do gelo. Huskice pode usar o seu uivo para tirar coragem de dentro de si, e a sua coragem o torna mais forte ainda contra o tipo metal. Então, ele vai se endurecendo em Diawolce e ganha a capacidade de se utilizar de energias do tipo metal para deter os seus inimigos. Por fim, Wolbrezard incorpora o tipo metal e ganha uma nova fraqueza: fogo. Ainda assim, seus olhos são capazes de exalar a sua vontade de ferro de enfrentar aqueles que detém vantagem sobre si. Sua determinação ainda impede que o dano de Supreme Tackle seja reduzido caso o oponente seja do tipo fogo ou metal.

O Príncipe da Força: Floedononh

Análogo aos três Pokemons Faraós, existem os três pokemons príncipes glaciais.
Cada um deles simboliza um tema: a coragem, a força e a sabedoria (referência explícita de Zelda).


Neste post eu vou mostrar o remake de Floedononh, o pokemon Iceberg e príncipe da força.

Ele foi criado por LeafyHeart e possui um design legal também, principalmente no seu último estágio. Seu tema é a força e o Iceberg. Como Iceberg's, se você olhar apenas a parte que está em fora da água, ele parece bem menor do que realmente é, e isto é o que Floedononh e sua linha evolutiva parecem: se você olhar seus movimentos apenas com uma energia, eles parecerão pouco, mas se você conseguir fazer ele possuir muitas energias, verá todo o seu poder.

Ao mesmo tempo, o tema da força se baseia na mesma mecânica: sua força aparece a medida que ele vai acumulando energias, a medida que vai crescendo. A verdadeira força, ao meu ver, consiste em trabalhar os nossos potenciais, desenvolver nossas habilidades. Então, Floedononh mostra toda a sua força quando ele está com muitas energias, quando ele desenvolve seus potenciais.

Sendo assim, Glowice se desenvolve plenamente com quatro energias, Floberg com cinco e Floedononh com seis (ou mais para o seu Iceberg Slam). O atual meta do pokemon tcg parece não suportar (dar suporte) a pokemons que requerem mais do que três energias, e é aí também que entraria o desafio de Floedononh (e sendo um "new pokemon tcg", o meta não importa 100% aqui).

Ah, e sobre o Frozen, ele é igual ao Sleep (até agora).

É isso.

E se lembrem: a verdadeira força consiste em desenvolver nossos potenciais!

Second Glacial Prince: Courage

Desta vez eu vou falar do Segundo Príncipe Glacial, o príncipe da Coragem, Wolbrezard!
A coragem desta família de Fakemons está em ser capaz de enfrentar oponentes que levam vantagem a eles.

Esta família é criação de Raiphen (http://raiphen.deviantart.com/), não deixem de elogiar o seu trabalho.

Huskice recebe +20 de dano de metal ao invés de x2. Consegue resistir um pouco mais a ataques do tipo de desvantagem. Porém, para vencer seu oponente, o ideal é possui uma energia básica de metal. Com ela, ele pode causar 60 pontos de dano em dois turnos, e ainda conseguir causar Frozen.

Como pokemon básico da linha evolutiva, ele não possui grandes habilidades e movimentos fortes. Trata-se de um inicial básico.

Diawolce começa a ficar mais corajoso em enfrentar pokemons do tipo metal. Seu Pokemon Power faz com que pokemons do tipo metal praticamente recebem uma pequena fraqueza a ele. Com uma energia do tipo metal, ainda, Diamond Bite pode perturbar bastante causando dano e frozen sempre. Quick Attack é um combo com Energy Chill - através do efeito do item, mais a ligação de uma carta de energia básica do tipo água, o move pode causar até 70 pontos de dano.

Wolbrezard, a forma final, se endurece e se transforma em um pokemon tanto do tipo água (gelo) quanto do tipo metal. Ele conserva as suas fraqueza contra metal e recebe uma nova, contra fogo. E também recebe imunidade à Frozen e a Poison.

Ao mesmo tempo, seu Pokemon Power faz com que pokemons de fogo sejam uma ameaça menor enquanto Extremespeed pode causar 50 pontos de dano por duas energias (água e fogo) mais dano extra contra pokemons metal, podendo causar até 70 pontos de dano por duas energias.

Ou Supreme Tackle pode causar 100 pontos de dano aproveitando as energias de metal que o jogador pode ter ligado as suas formas anteriores, e ainda removendo uma energia de um pokemon do tipo fogo.


Com isto estes fakemons são apresentados: os príncipes da coragem, aqueles que ousam enfrentar suas fraquezas - pois a coragem consiste em enfrentar nossos desafios.

The Glacial Prince of Strength

Now it’s time to present the Glacial Prince of Strength: Floedononh.

He got a theme: Iceberg. His name remember Iceberg, so I got that he will be theme as a Iceberg pokemon.

In the Pokemon TCG, pokemons don’t get themes. In the game, of course they get, but in the TCG the moves, PokeBody’s or Pokemon Power don’t appear to have some concept behind their. So, I’m gonna do different and make the Strength Prince a theme.

He is a prince for Strength, and also a Iceberg pokemon. When I think about Icebergs I think how their are more huge than we can see. Superficiality, their appear to be not so big, but in depth, there are enormous. And this is the theme of Floedononh family!

Supperficiality, their moves will be appear to be weak, but with a depth look, all players can see their potential. If this pokemon has few energy, he will stay in the surface of his moves, but as he accumulates energy, his moves will be stronger.

This also combines with the theme of Strength: The true strength lies in work yours potentials, and this will be the rule here! As these pokemon gather more energy, their strength grow up.

So, let’s stop talking about the theme and the concept in this line, and let’s see the Cards.

Glowice is fine. He is made for work with four energy. Water gun can do 10 points of damage with one energy (the cost) or 40 damage with the four energy. His other move, Cold Water Gun gather force to frozen the opponent pokemon. With two energy it got a 25% of chance for frozen the defending pokemon. It’s weak. With three energy it will have 50% chance of frozen, what is better but not so much for the cost, and with four energy the move will always frozen the defending pokemon, which is better and very defensive. Ok, his cost is not the better for the effect, but look, as similar to Pharaox, the first stage of the Strength Prince cannot be something so powerfull.

So, here is Floberg. He is cheap, but he is made for work with five water energy cards. Glaciaate can knock out a pokemon if it has three water energy cards or more. But if the move fail in knock out the defending pokemon, at last he will be frozen. And Icy Horn work here. If the defending pokemon is Frozen, this move will cause extra damage if you have more energy. With all five energy, this move can cause 90 pts of damage, what is great!

And here comes the Strength Glacial Prince: Floedononh. He got Charisma and a lot of Guts! Floedononh is made to work with six water energy cards. Ice Crash is a good move, but work very well with Icy Wind. If the defending pokemon is frozen, it can cause 120 points of damage, if he got the six energy he needs.

Icy Wind works to make Ice Crash a very good move. If has a chance of make the defending pokemon and other one pokemon in bench to be frozen. So, when the defending pokemon is defeat, the next can be already ready for Ice Crash. Or even this move can secure that you opponent can’t run from Ice Crash retreating his active pokemon. If you have all six energy cards, you will only loss the coin flip if you get real very bad luck.

But Iceberg Slam is the final crash move. With this move I want to pass the feeling of something very big colliding and damaging both sides, but more the opposing side, of course. With this move you have to sacrifice you water energy cards. The player decides how much he wants do discard. For each discarded card, the player chose one opposing pokemon and put two damage counters on it (this process ignore all effects that reduces damage!). Also, the Slam damages Floedononh, with 10 points of damage per energy discarded, and this will damage both players deck’s, discarding one top card on Deck.

Iceberg Slam, using all six energy cards, can put twelve damage counters on you opponent side! And this move have a versatile use. You can discard all energy and put lots of damage counters, or just one or two to knock out a benched pokemon.

The Iceberg Prince has a lot of potential. Work your potentials is the true Strength and this is why he is the Strength Prince. But, Floedononh family has is weakness too. These pokemon need a lot of energy card to use all his potential and has a high retreat cost, which makes retreat a choice not only for survival but too for weak these pokemon. Other weakness is that the more damaging moves needs the defending pokemon to be frozen. It’s not a great problem, but can slow the progress of the game. But if the defending pokemon is immune to frozen, oh, you have a great problem. And the only way to counter this is using Iceberg Slam.

Like the Pharaoh Theme, the Glacial Prince Theme has a few cards to support him. But this will be subject for the next post.
